If you are in a cohabiting relationship that breaks down, then you have certain rights that will have been set out in the agreement itself. As mentioned above, the agreement is designed to set out arrangements for finances, child care and assets in the event that the cohabitation breaks down. It may not cover all legal issues – a trust deed is also recommended for setting out property rights. If you have not entered into a cohabitation agreement, you will need specific advice as to your rights.
If you would like to arrange an initial fixed fee consultation regarding cohabitation, you can get in touch with us today. Goodwins Family Law Solicitors are always happy to help. Our offices are conveniently based in Harrow, London, with on site car parking and accessible from public transport links. Alternatively, if you are overseas we can arrange a Skype call with you if it is more convenient.

We specialise exclusively in cases under English and Welsh jurisdiction, but our services are available to clients throughout the whole of the UK. No matter where you are located, our specialists are just a phone call away.
