Kate is an experienced family law solicitor who provides clear, practical, and compassionate advice to clients navigating the challenges of relationship breakdowns. She advises on all aspects of private family law, including divorce, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, and arrangements for children. Kate also has extensive experience in securing injunctions in cases of domestic violence, ensuring her clients and their children are protected during difficult times.

As a member of Resolution, Kate promotes a constructive and non-confrontational approach, helping clients resolve disputes wherever possible while safeguarding their interests. She is also an active member of Resolution’s Cohabitation Committee and has a particular expertise in cohabitation matters, including agreements and disputes arising when unmarried relationships end. Kate is passionate about helping clients understand their rights and is committed to supporting reforms that improve protections for unmarried couples.

Kate understands how stressful and emotional family disputes can be. She takes the time to listen and tailor her advice to each client’s unique circumstances, offering intelligent, practical guidance and reassurance throughout the process. Her supportive approach has earned her a loyal following of clients who value her professionalism, clarity, and dedication.

Kate studied Law at the University of Bristol and achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course. She trained with E.M. Collins & Co, qualified as a solicitor in 2010, and has remained with the firm ever since, becoming a Partner in March 2022.
